Sree Poornathrayeesa temple is situated in Tripunithura, the capital of the former Kingdom of Cochin. The temple decorates a considerable place among the greatest temples of Kerala. The temple is popularly known for its yearly festivals.
The major festival of Vrishchikoltsawam kicks offs the festive season in Kerala and this fiesta is the biggest of Ernakulam District and one of the biggest of Kerala State.
The deity in this temple is Lord Vishnu who has appeared as Santhanagopala Murthy who will bless the sterile couple with children on praying.
The structure of the temple was redesigned in 1921 by the great architect Sri Eachara Warrier, the grounds of the two-storied Gopuram consists of a Mandapam and eight magnificent carved wooden pillars supporting the Manadapam.
