Mullakkal temple is also known as Mullakkal Rajarajeswari Temple and Mullakkal Bhagwati Temple is one of the most popular temples of Kerala abodes at the city of Alleppey.

This pretty old temple is accessible to all devotees from all caste and religions, and it showcases the thought of secularism in Kerala. The Mullakkal Temple draws attention of every eye with its old Kerala architectural style, well maintained surrounding walls, beautiful pond, ample trees and aromatic jasmine plants.

The unique open roof shrine of the temple is called Sanctum Sanctorum and idol placed on the shrine is of Devi Durga with four arms, popularly known as Mullakkal Devi and Mullakkal Amma.

Apart from Devi Durga, other deities are Hanuman Swami, Lord Ganesha, Subramanya Swami, Nagaraja, Navagraha, Sree Krishna and Lord Ayyappa. The Shiva Lingam placed at the platform of Banyan tree is also famous place of worship.
